What can I do to make my Jeep Wrangler stand out?

The Jeep Wranglers are some of the toughest-looking cars around, and many people have turned to them for their capabilities off-road as well.

Making your Jeep Wrangler stand out in a crowd is easier than it sounds. No matter what colour you have, from banana yellow to plain black, these simple customisations can turn your daily driver into the coolest car on the block:

1) Bullbar

The 3.6-litre V6 engine generates 209 kilowatts of power at 347 Nm of torque, so you can pretty much put anything heavy like a bullbar on the car and the big block will handle the road just fine.

Adding a bullbar will instantly make the front end look much more practical, and can be a great way to add a contrasting feature to your ride, usually in black or chrome. Bullbars also act as a shield to large objects so if off-roading is on the agenda then the front of your Jeep Wrangler will be protected.

2) Fender flares

Widening the apparent stance of any car is a cool way to add street appeal, while keeping functionality the same.

Bolt-on fender flares can be found in all shapes and sizes. If you have installed, or plan to install large off-road tyres then it is likely that you will need larger flares than the stock ones. The larger tyres can rub against standard flares which are designed for the stock Jeep Wrangler wheels, and that friction will slow the car down.

When an aesthetic option is also necessary to make your car more comfortable, it is a perfect match.

3) Rock sliders

Installed just below the doors, rock sliders not only give you a step up into your car but also provide some protection to light side impacts. In a similar way to the bullbar shielding the front of the car, the rock sliders will shield the lower half of the doors from rock impacts and other small objects.

They also look cool and give your Jeep Wrangler an awesome silhouette which others may not have.

4) Military-style storage compartments

Not forgetting the interior as that is where you will be spending most of your time around the car after all, storage compartments make the interior feel like a real off-road military-spec machine.

They can add a great aesthetic to your Jeep Wrangler while also giving you extra space to store anything you need for the road. A mobile phone pocket or space for food can improve functionality hugely. They are also usually attached with Velcro so can be taken off if required very easily.
